Hi! I’m Janna and I’d like to thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my Travel Photo and Video Blog Vacationality.
I’m in my early 30′s and Russian by birth, though I moved abroad in my mid-20s.
These days, I have an ideal life… I live between the USA, the UK and Russia, where I spend time with wonderful friends and family, and I travel the world in between.
I don’t have a “job” but, thanks to the Internet, I earn enough to travel between my home countries and still go on vacations whenever I want. Oddly, for a travel-related site like mine, I’m not a writer, editor or professional photographer, and I don’t blog for a living either!
However, I love to visit interesting and mysterious places, wander around, take photos, learn about new cultures, meet new people and share my experiences.
Having said that, I’m not a backpacker – I travel with suitcases… like normal people do.
I go on vacations for leisure but, most importantly, for pleasure, so I don’t stay in hostels or sleep on floors – I want to vacation in style… but at reasonable prices.
So, that brings me to one of the main reasons for creating this site…
I want to show how you can do it too – how you can visit interesting places, stay in nice accommodation, and yet pay no more than backpackers. After all, why would you want to “slum it” and share a toilet and bathroom with hoards of strangers when you can enjoy elegant, private apartments for about the same price?
I’ll be posting a lot of photo images, videos and stories about my life and the people I meet, travel, food, holidays and vacations.
